A sitemap is an XML file that lists every public page on your website. Search engines use it to crawl your site - and PixelBot uses it to index your content and build its knowledge base.
Every page in your sitemap becomes part of what PixelBot knows. Every page missing from it is something PixelBot can't answer about. That's why getting it right matters - and why we always review it before going live.

What Makes a Good Sitemap.
A well-structured sitemap means a better PixelBot. Here's what we look for when we set it up - and what to keep in mind going forward.
Every page a visitor might land on should be in the sitemap. If it's not listed, PixelBot won't index it and can't answer questions about it.
Pages with meaningful text give PixelBot better answers. Thin or placeholder pages won't contribute much - quality content in, quality answers out.
When you add or update pages, the sitemap should reflect that. PixelBot refreshes its cache every 24 hours so updates roll in automatically.
PixelBot can only index publicly accessible pages. Private or gated content won't be crawlable - which also means it won't be shared with visitors.
Shops with hundreds of products may have large sitemaps. We configure PixelBot to index sensibly and handle pagination - no setup needed from you.
Any standard sitemap.xml works - Yoast, RankMath, All in One SEO or generated by us. If it's valid XML at a public URL, PixelBot can read it.
